DAVAO, MONTREAL Y CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, 29 de Agosto. — Un informe de la Agencia France Presse (AFP) reveló un nuevo intento por establecer la base para un mercado de “créditos climáticos” para usar técnicas de geoingeniería. Grupos de la sociedad civil están denunciando las negociaciones a puerta cerrada de la Organización Internacional de Normalización (ISO por sus siglas en inglés), que podrían debilitar los esfuerzos para frenar el cambio climático.

DAVAO, MONTREAL AND MEXICO CITY—A report from Agence France-Presse has revealed a new effort to establish the basis for a market for “climate credits” for the use of geoengineering technologies. Civil society groups are denouncing the closed-door negotiations at the International Standards Organization (ISO) that could undermine efforts to curb climate change.
