Lucy Patterson

Lucy is a communications specialist working with the comms team at ETC Group, where she supports the drafting and editing of ETC’s reports, and works to strengthen the organization’s visibility and reach.

Since her youth climate activist roots, Lucy has held coordination and communications roles within environmental and social justice movements, benefitting from a political formation with Young Friends of the Earth Europe and Friends of the Earth International over many years. Since then, she has been part of grassroots groups and international networks fighting for a just energy transition and resisting false solutions.

Lucy is interested in human-centred communications. She aims to engage people on the era-defining challenges that ETC Group tackles using hope as a discipline and art, music and creativity as connectors. A self-confessed audio nerd, she is also a music producer, and with the Gastivists Collective and Artivist Network, co-founded Radish Radio, an online movement radio station. 

Lucy is originally from the UK and lives in Turin, Italy, with her partner and son.
