Les organismes créés par forçage génétique sont conçus pour propager intentionnellement leurs traits implantés à travers une population entière et pourraient facilement être conçus pour provoquer l’extinction ou le remplacement d’une espèce entière. Jusqu'à présent, cette "technologie exterminatrice" n'a jamais été testée dans un environnement naturel, ou même semi-naturel, mais le jour de la libération des gene drive organisms approche.

An introduction to a dangerous new technology putting Africans at risk
Gene Drive Organisms are built to intentionally spread their implanted traits through an entire population and could easily be designed to cause a whole species to become extinct or replaced. So far this ‘exterminator technology’ has never been tested in a natural, or even semi-natural environment but the day of GDO release is coming. 
 
This report explains what Gene Drives are, who is behind them, and what rights and tools communities in Africa have to stop them.

Grupos de la sociedad civil están denunciando las negociaciones a puerta cerrada de la Organización Internacional de Normalización (ISO por sus siglas en inglés), que podrían debilitar los esfuerzos para frenar el cambio climático.

    We, the undersigned civil society organisations from Africa and around the world, denounce the release of genetically modified (GM) “male-sterile” mosquitoes in Burkina Faso. The GM mosquitoes were released in the village of Bana on 1 July 2019 by the Target Malaria research consortium.i
