En la COP26 se promueven riesgosos esquemas de geoingeniería
En resumen:
1. En la COP 26 de la Convención Marco de Naciones Unidas sobre Cambio Climático (CMNUCC) se están promoviendo arriesgados planes de geoingeniería para justificar el problemático concepto de “cero neto”, que distraerá de realizar los cambios necesarios para llegar realmente a cero emisiones contaminantes.
2. Las técnicas de geoingeniería, en gran medida inexistentes, se basan en teorías científicas sesgadas, que proporcionan a la industria de los combustibles fósiles una coartada más para seguir extrayendo y contaminando.
3. Contrarrestar las narrativas de gobiernos y corporaciones que promueven “cero emisiones netas” y geoingeniería, es una tarea vital en la COP26. No podemos perder el poco tiempo que tenemos para cambiar realmente el curso del caos climático.

The rejection of the Food System Summit (FSS) by so many people, activists, organisations and movements around the world shows that the defence of food sovereignty remains strong.

Our latest communiqué looks at how the Food Systems Summit (FSS) planned for the fall of 2021 is not about changing food systems, but about spinning a story that props up and expands the industrial food chain at the expense of other food systems. The FSS’s proponents argue that the “food system” is broken, that population growth and climate change mean that we will not be able to feed everyone, and that only new technological developments can save us.
